Aww remember the days before Tom went insane? And way before Travis and Mark wrote songs about their hatred for him? The days when it was all innocent and fun? Well how about you go to Blink's Purevolume page, listen to their rare demos from their early tape releases and live tracks that have been posted and get back in to that pre-spring mood?
Ah the sun where have you been?

Maybe not the most positive title for an ep. But regardless of this fact, Harvey will hopefully prove that 2007 is one of their best.
One of the most underrated unsigned bands (in my humble opinion) in the scene today, this little secret tucked away in deepest Illinois are finally getting the attention they so deserve.
So head your mouse over to their myspace page and give "Worst. Year. Ever." a listen before they get too popular to like.

Okay, let’s not beat around the proverbial bush and I’ll be really honest with you. I don’t really like much British music past about 95’. Despite coming from this little island in the sea.
I’m a perfect example of Americanisation, well the music side of things anyway.
75% of my favourite bands and artists are from across the pond, with a few places saved for some bands from Europe and other continents.
So with my oh so secret shame in mind let us begin.
After having nothing particularly interesting to do on a Tuesday evening, my friend and I managed to get ourselves in for free at a local music venue and we came across “Four Day Hombre. A five piece melodic indie band ...

I don’t know, I really just don’t know. Do I love this band? Do I find them ever so boring? I just can’t decide between the two extremes and it’s really annoying me.
I mean, the production of Beauty Never Ceases is second to none. Their use of mixing and electronics really does set them apart from many other pop-punk bands, and gives the band an added depth. An added depth that is best demonstrated on “Keep Breathing and the instrumental final track “The Colour Of Closure. In fact, the beautifully haunting vocals and synth on of “Keep Breathing was what first got me hooked on to Urgency in the first place.
The guitars are also pretty tight and it’s obvious ...

You know when you discover a new band and are on the very verge of falling in love with them? Their name is cool, they wear nice clothes and the music is fantastic.“Oh man, this intro is so rad! I can’t wait to hear the vocals.
But then it hits. The bad, God awful vocals; and you sit there wondering where it all went wrong. No, you won’t buy their record and no, you defiantly won’t put yourself through another second of this horrible torture. So imagine my surprise and general all round good feelings when Chicago’s 2*Sweet managed to pull off the vocals; as well as the silly name.
Fantastic and all round happiness you might say? Well yes. Except that ...

I have to be honest with all of you now. I was a little biased before I even heard this band; as soon as I knew they had a piano in their group, a little piece of me was already sold. And after hearing a handful of demos I was more than excited to hear The Midway State’s self-titled EP.
But as with many bands, the demos sometimes do more for you than the actual finished product. My initial love could’ve worked against the Canadian five-piece, and, as expected, as the first track “Met a Man On Top The Hill began and played out, I did feel a little disappointed in the way the song progressed. The intro and drumming grabbed me ...
